Kefir is a fermented milk beverage produced by the action of bacteria and yeast. This kefir is cultivated with freeze-dried kefir grain, kefir yeasts and lactic acid bacteria culture and contains the very beneficial Lactobacillus kefiri. Several studies have shown that kefir and its constituents have anti-microbial, anti-tumor, anti-carcinogenic and immunomodulatory activity and also improve lactose digestion, among other benefits. This kefir is not stirred while incubated so the consistency reminds one of yogurt. There is cream on top too.
